Use Prandin the way it is prescribed by your doctor. Follow the directions on the label.
Take Prandin at least 15-30 minutes before each meal. Do not take it on an empty stomach, only with meal.

THE MECHANISM OF ACTION

Prandin is an antidiabetic agent. It works by reducing the level of glucose (sugar) in the blood and stimulates the release of insulin out of the pancreas. Prandin is useless for diabetes of the 1 type (insulin-dependent), because in this condition the pancreas is not able to extract insulin.

It is unknown whether Prandin is secreted in breast milk. Avoid breast feeding while using the drug.
